No. FastVPM is an independent search tool. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Victoria Police, and it does not have access to internal police systems or non-public documents.
Where do the documents come from?
The collection comes from the MALS public Victoria Police Manual archive, which publishes documents released through Freedom of Information. FastVPM currently searches the 2026-04 archive: 222 available documents. The PDFs are preserved so you can check the source yourself.
Can I rely on an answer?
Use answers as a starting point for research. AI can misread a passage, miss an exception or produce an incorrect summary. Open the cited PDF, read the surrounding sections and check the current policy and applicable law before relying on it. FastVPM does not provide legal advice or replace professional judgment.
Are these the latest policies?
An archive date is not a guarantee that a policy is current. Documents may have changed since their release. This collection also has 51 unavailable source links; older policies have not been used to fill those gaps. Legislation and court decisions are not currently indexed.
How do citations work?
Select a numbered citation to open the original PDF page in the document library. Use the sidebar to browse documents, save favourites or search within the open PDF. Search uses extracted text, so diagrams and complex layouts may not be fully searchable. The PDF is the reference for the original wording and layout.
What happens to my questions?
Questions and relevant document passages are sent to AI providers to generate answers. Questions, answers and feedback are retained for 90 days for service evaluation, then removed by scheduled cleanup, normally within 12 hours. Do not enter personal, confidential or operational case information.
